Seasonal Search & Traffic Trends
For the last 14 years, I’ve been working with a wide variety of customers and websites in industries as diverse as swimming pools, custom apparel manufacturing, lawyers, pump station equipment, red carpet premieres and what all these industries have in common is the fact that they are affected by seasonal traffic trends.
Why am I telling you all this? Simply because we are now entering the Holiday season, which affects search and traffic trends for millions of sites. I can tell you from experience that people are now shifting their focus to eating, partying and buying gifts. So if your business and website are related to these activities, you should see a surge in traffic and sales. However, if your business has nothing to do with these, you will most likely see your traffic, leads and sales drop considerably, a trend which should last until the end of the year. If this happens to you, do not get scared though as things will get back to normal after New Year, with traffic and sales going back up in January.
